Hi all, A lot of times in my blogs my passion comes out pretty strong I really don't mean to be offending anyone, I love you guys very much, your support always picks me up, but I would like to share what God has been putting on my heart lately, I've been going through a book study Lately on the book Tender Warrior, the book is about Every Man's purpose, Every Woman's Dream, Every Child's Hope. It's a book on Who God calls us Men to be. There is so much great information in it; it's the most inspirational book I've ever read. Ugghh wear do I get started. So the first thing I get from the book is Men we are called to be Provisionary's- look up and out and discern objects in the hazy distance, to be visionaries, make plans for the future, ask if the direction you're on, your family is on will lead to destruction in the near future, what changes do I need to make right now. That's one of our jobs. Second I get that a man was made for vision a man was made for leading the way, fathers need to vision- cast for their children and husbands need to make plans with your wife on the direction of their families. The third biggest thing I get from this book right now is. A man is called to have Four Pillars: King, Warrior, Mentor, and Friend. King- looks ahead watches over, and provides order, mercy and justice. He is authority. Warrior- Shields, defends, stands between, and guards. He is self-disciplined. Men stand tallest when they are protecting and defending. Mentor- The heart of a mentor is a teaching heart. He models, explains, and trains. He has a spiritual heart. He is supposed to be able to teach life. Friend- The heart of the friend is a loving heart. It is a care-giving heart. Passionate, yes but more: compassionate. The friend in a man is a commitment-maker, a promise keeper. Men we are all in this together, let's go out there and be EVERY Woman's dream, and EVERY child's hope, so we can fulfill EVERY mans purpose.
With Love,
