This week was exciting to say the least, a couple big holidays are coming up for the UK, so the excitement in the youth is growing. What I want share with you right is more so about one of the books I'm studying and going through. The book is called Prayer by Phillip Yancey, the book is amazing, I have a ton f questions about prayer, and maybe some of you have the same questions. Some of my questions are does prayer matter, if God already knows what he's going to do with a particular situation does your prayers change God, do your prayers change God or change yourself? These are some common questions I think a lot of us have, and to be honest I still don't have an answer to all these questions, but what I do know is that prayer creates a relationship with God, prayer is essential if you want to grow in your relationship with God, for example if you're in a marriage, how do you get closer and grow in your relationship with your spouse unless you communicate with them. See prayer is a direct communication to the almighty and he wants you to pray to him he longs for it, he wants us to be blistering honest in our prayers, the worst thing we van do is hold our emotions back, we know this from the book of Psalms the whole book is David complaining, and then him praising God for being so amazing. We also have a great example through looking at Jesus' prayers, he voiced exactly how he felt, he didn't hold anything back. Witch brings up another topic, since we can see that Jesus most of the time told God how he felt, does it matter that God hears how we feel if he already knows, I say yes it matters for us, God wants to hear this, your blistering honesty, even though he already knows, he knows that you will feel so much better, and you will create a much stronger relationship with him. That's my point prayer grows your relationship with God, creates a more and more personal relationship with him, creates an incredibly easy direct communication line to our Heavenly Father. So challenge you to pray honestly, pray more, pray often, and last keep growing in your relationship with him and the only way this can be done is if you communicate with him, if you pray.
